Shoppers to enjoy free roller skating at The Galleries this half term

This February half term, families in Bristol can enjoy free roller skating at the Galleries shopping centre in Bristol.

From 6th to 14th February, a giant 126 square metre roller skating rink will be installed on the ground floor of The Galleries, injecting some retro fun into Bristol’s shopping experience.

With free skating, as well as free skate hire and safety equipment, the event looks set to be popular with families in Bristol looking for fun activities to keep the kids entertained this February half term. Shoppers can enjoy a free 30 minute skating session each day, with the rink open from 10am to 5pm.

Colin Lang, Centre Manager, The Galleries says:

“We ran our first Skate & Shop event last year, and have brought it back this year due to popular demand! The event is set to bring an exciting, energetic atmosphere to The Galleries over February half term; we know it can be hard to find activities that the whole family will enjoy over half term, and there’s nothing like roller skating for some retro fun!”

Shoppers will be able to visit the rink at the start of the day to sign up for one of the half hour sessions – leaving time to enjoy the shops or have a bite to eat before taking to the rink!

The Galleries has seen a huge influx of new retailers over the last 12 months including Pavers, Caffè Nero, Pep&Co, No.1 Currency & Eurochange. Work has also started on the new Slaters Menswear unit, with two more retailers about to start shopfitting.

Colin Lang says:

“Now is the perfect time to visit The Galleries, and discover our new range of stores. The Galleries has always had a wide range of high street favourites offering great quality, great value products, and 2016 looks set to be an exciting year for us as we welcome even more new retailers into the centre.”
