Police Horse Broadmead is retiring

Say goodbye to Police Horse Broadmead on Monday 11 December when he patrols Bristol Shopping Quarter one last time before retiring.

At the age of 20 and following 15 years service, Police Horse Broadmead is retiring from Avon & Somerset Police, heading to Dorset where he will be cared for in a family environment. Broadmead BID have sponsored Broadmead the horse and we will miss seeing him in Bristol Shopping Quarter.

He will patrol one last time on Monday 11 December and shoppers will have the chance to wish him a happy retirement when he visits Bristol’s Christmas Market around midday.

His groom, Natalie, has written a lovely blog for the Bristol Shopping Quarter website, read it HERE.
