itsu bringing hip and healthy eating to Broadmead

The butterflies are coming…

itsu, the healthy Asian-inspired and innovative food brand, is bringing its ‘eat beautiful’ menu to Bristol, opening in Broadmead on Wednesday 14 December.

Already well-established in London, Oxford, Brighton, Manchester and Leeds, Bristol’s energy and diversity made it an obvious choice for itsu’s newest shop, its first in the South West, which will offer diners 64 different protein-packed, low carb and flavoursome dishes to choose from.

Centrally located on the corner of Broadmead (2-4), just outside Cabot Circus, itsu Bristol will be launching the highly anticipated evening udon dishes. Available from 5pm, these hot noodle delights are guaranteed to warm customers up on cold winter days. Visitors can accompany these dishes with their favourite alcoholic drink as itsu will have an alcohol bar serving wine, beer and prosecco, just in time for the festive season.

itsu likes to treat their customers, anyone who buys a tea or coffee will receive a free banana to keep them going throughout the day.

What else is on the menu?

itsu, the brainchild of Julian Metcalfe (Pret a Manger co-founder and pioneer), has won plaudits for its light, green and good-for-you food by serving up mouth-wateringly nutritious and seasonal menus created by a team of talented chefs who have dedicated years to developing the itsu recipes. With dishes suitable for vegans and vegetarians, itsu Bristol will be a positive welcome for healthy eaters in the area.

Introducing the latest addition, Bento of the month, customers will be able to feast on the festive ‘santa-on-sea’ box with smoked salmon available throughout December. itsu Bristol will be updating its offering with a new Bento box or hot food every month.

itsu also stocks a variety of snack options from the itsu grocery range including its award-winning crispy seaweed thins (two stars in the Great Taste Awards), chocolate edamame, prawn crackers, coconut crunch and dark chocolate rice cakes.

Agne Kazberaite, Head of Regions at itsu commented , “We’re excited to be introducing our ‘eat beautiful’ concept to Bristol – it’s vibrant, relaxed and quirky, just like itsu, add to that the thriving food scene and desire for healthy, tasty food, it’s a perfect fit for us.  Our customers want amazing flavours from the far east; high in nutrients yet refreshingly low in calories and saturated fat. We’re proud to offer protein packed, healthy and ethically sourced food to satisfy breakfast, lunch and dinner, all freshly prepared in each itsu every day.”

In keeping with the city’s green credentials, itsu Bristol takes sustainability seriously. Half an hour before closing, the shop will hold an itsu sale when all sushi and salad boxes will be reduced to half price. Almost nothing goes in the bin and Bristol customers get to try different dishes.
