Broadmead BID businesses were invited to attend a workshop designed to improve the performance of their retail staff on 18th September. The course, delivered by Purple Cloud Consultancy and paid for by the BID, was reported to be a great success with excellent feedback given by all participants.
The one-day workshop offered a mix of customer service and selling skills; delegates were trained to understand the relationship with customers, manage interactions, build relationships for repeat business and use successful selling skills to boost profit.
Participants including staff from Subway, Lush, Gap and Specsavers, reported that the course was motivating and full of fun and useful ideas. Feedback included the following:
“As promised a quick note just to say how I enjoyed the training on Thursday. I have managed to pass on some of the days’ topics to our staff already but we would be most interested in any future training days run by BID”. Simon Mackie, London Camera Exchange
“Just to let you know that our girls absolutely loved the course and told us it was really beneficial for them so thank you very much for passing that opportunity on to us”. Caroline Tiernan-Locke, Marketing manager, Consol
Jo Hawkins, Broadmead BID manager said: “We were delighted to be able to fund this course for our BID businesses – we want our customers to experience excellent customer service every time they visit Bristol Shopping Quarter. We will be looking at providing further relevant courses in the future.”
