Bristol Shopping Quarter hosts Giant Snow Globe for Christmas 2014

It’s going to snow in Bristol this Christmas!  Bristol Shopping Quarter is partnering with award- winning company, Odin Events, to offer visitors to Broadmead the chance to step inside a Giant Snow Globe and to raise the festive atmosphere of the city centre.

Located near M&S from 14th November 2014, the Snow Globe will join the Christmas markets, the dazzling city centre Christmas lights and Santa’s Grotto in The Galleries – making Bristol Shopping Quarter the place to be this Christmas.  Bristol Mayor, George Ferguson, will be officially launching the Giant Snow Globe on Saturday 15th November 2014 at 2pm.

Visitors will be invited to step through the backdrop into their very own winter wonderland where they will be greeted by the friendly 6 foot tall snowman to experience the realistic-effect snow with friends and family – the globe can fit up to 6 people at once.

“The snow globe will be a fantastic addition to Bristol city centre – whether you are 5 or 95, everyone loves it, it is totally unique and always draws a crowd”
says Bethyn Barrass, Director, Odin Events.

“We’re delighted to be hosting the Giant snow globe in Broadmead this Christmas – it’s always good to be able to introduce something new and fun into the Christmas mix for our customers”
says Jo Hawkins, Broadmead BID manager for Destination Bristol.

A first for Bristol, the snow globe will be in Broadmead until 22nd December 2014, with an entrance fee of £10 for a group of up to 4 people and a charge of £2.50 per extra entrant (max. 6 people).   The experience includes a complimentary photograph presented inside its own Christmas Card.
